Been having problems for ages

Rtorrent is crashing every 15 seconds after I restart

Caught Segmentation fault, dumping stack:

cpu usage is normally maxing out when the problem occurs have around 30 torrents on my vps server

has anyone got any sugestions I have tried searching google and so far have turned down the upload and download speeds to just 2.5 mbs , set max number of files open in rtorrent.rc

rtorrent 0.8.6/0.12.6

Any suggenstions would be great Thanks

is this vps openvz?

if so the problem is clearly memory related. With openvz this is a common thing.


if it's a xen based vps then i'm not sure what is causing it

Please use r1148 or the last STABLE release for full compatibility with rutorrent

you shouldn't be using any svn version of rtorrent honestly.

svn rtorrent isn't stable.

as skydrome pointed out (and as it states on the front page for the project) you shouldn't use ANYTHING newer than r1148
