RSS and Cookies Plugins

thanks for all the great guides here!

followed the directions for the RSS and Cookies plugins but I keep getting invalid passkey errors

everything is loading fine

seems to be downloading the torrent file that the user created (or giving a random passkey)

private site that requires registration and I have entered in all the info regarding user id, pass and passkey in the correct places

also using the download link for the feed type and alternative (no cookies) options to create the feed

the feed does have different categories and I'm only checking off 2 of ~30+ options

any ideas?

what site is this for?

cookie/rss info is highly subjective.

in the rss plugin I'm adding: http://www.dreamingtree.org/rss.php?feed=dl&cat=3&uidxxx&passkey=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

the only way to get the feed to load is the no cookie rss option

I've tried all types of combinations , such as adding the passkey to the cookies plugins but no thing seems to work

Hosts must be some. If you add feed www.dreamingtree.org, for which reason you add to cookies dreamingtree.org? Add www.dreamingtree.org.

tried that and it didn't work....same passkey error

to this: dreamingtree.org|pass=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx;uid=xxxx;

all seems to be working now

Very strange. I create own account on this site. I use "standard" rss link - http://www.dreamingtree.org/rss.php?feed=dl&cat=23
I add to cookies plugin line
www.dreamingtree.org|uid=xxxxxx;pass=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
all ok.
I change this line to
www.dreamingtree.org|pass=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx;uid=xxxxxx
all ok.

i've had it fail on adding a second ; to the last cookie.

I've had others not work without it....i'm sure it's just a quirk

i seem to be having a problem saving the cookies.
reinstalled rutorrent, and now cant save anything in the cookies box.
everytime i add anything in and click okay, nothing is saved the next time i open the options page.

is there something i forgot the chmod 777 ?

directory ruTorrent/share and all it's subdirs must be available for read/write for web and rtorrent users.

when you first setup rutorrent, it's important to chown or chmod rutorrent/share

I typically do something like this, assuming it's installed to /var/www/rutorrent/ and the webuser is www-data (ubuntu, debian, etc)

what did you put in ?

Are you using the cookies plugin ?
As even when you put in iD & passkey , some sites also need the cookies
