I switched to a new server. My old one was running 0.8.6 and i installed 0.8.9 on my new one. I saved the cache from rss and placed it into my new setup(that way i didn't have to manually re enter all my rss info and filters) Not sure if this is the reason for my problem or not? On my new server it starts some torrents paused(not all of them) If i try and start them it does nothing. If i stop and start it just says paused. If i manually load the torrent(from rss), it starts fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated cheesy.gif

*I can even click on the paused torrent and choose get .torrent then manually load it.

Check permissions. Both - web and rtorrent users must have read/write/execute access to all subdirectories inside rutorrent/share. And read/write access to all files in its.

I used Brock's auto installer.

drwxrwxrwx 6 lighttpd lighttpd 4096 2012-01-29 12:02 share

I had already tried chmod -R 777 on the /rutorrent folder as i am the only person on my server. I figured it didn't matter who had read/write permissions on it. The user that log's into rutorrent doesn't exist on the server. I assume that's why the permissions ended up with lighttpd?

Thank you for that smiley.gif i posted in Brock's auto intall thread..... After a few more days of it, i figured out that it its anything with 2012 in it. Colbert, Daily show, Attack of the show. Non will load with rss unless i manually do it.

What do you mean feed source? I grab from btn and bmtv, does it on both of them. My filters don't even have 2012 in them

/^(the.)?daily.show.*/i

is what i use. But even if it was confused, it would just not load the torrent. But loading it paused? That's very weird :/

I mean - i must see on your problem. How you think, what it is necessary for me for this purpose? May be, this problem has relation to one rss only - in this case i must have link to your rss, account on it and method of reproducing. Or, may be, this problem has relation to your system only - for example, disk space is not enough. In this case i must have SSH and ruTorrent accounts in your system.

Thank you for the offer smiley.gif but i just figured it out. When i had used the old cache, i thought i had setup the same /download/..... folders. I had simply missed a . The old on was /downloads/daily.shows./colbert and i put /downloads/dailyshow/colbert Thus the reason it wouldn't start :/
