RSS in the background

Hi guys,

Since ruTorrent is just a web gui - how does it periodically run RSS feeds if I have no instances of the web page open in any browser? Or does it even? Do I need to set up a cron?

Also - is there any way to send an email when RSS runs and adds a torrent?

It use rtorrent scheduler. Also read this:

You should write your own plugin for this.
