ruTorrent not saving "Update GUI every..."

I'm having a problem with my ruTorrent. Every time I change the "Update GUI every" setting, when I reload the page or reset the machine, it goes back to the 3000ms default.
It seems that my ruTorrent can't save any of the WebUI settings. It was working fine for a week, but today this started.
I know about the .rtorrent.rc, but this file only save the rTorrent settings, what about the ruTorrent settings, where are they saved?
Using Debian 6.0

check the permissions of the rutorrent/share/ directory and all the directories below it (for your specific user)


if they aren't such that the web users can write data, it can't save when you select that option.
