Interface is inaccessible but Rutorrent's working

Hey

I just added 1,500 torrent files to my seedbox. (what? is that a lot? too much you say....huh)

And now whenever I try to access the interface I get this

No connection to rTorrent. Check if it is really running. Check $scgi_port and $scgi_host settings in config.php and scgi_port in rTorrent configuration file.​

Yet the client is working, I know because disk space is getting occupied and my trackers report more files are being complete

I know I can contact the seedbox's provider and they'll fix it, I'm just curious as to why this happened.

Is there a simple explanation I can understand?

Try setting a higher timeout value in settings. Failing that check httpd error log for any related messages, could be exhausted PHP memory for example.

1) You must use plugin 'httprpc'. http://code.google.com/p/rutorrent/wiki/PluginHTTPRPC
2) Anyway, ruTorrent is not intended for work with such large count of torrents. Use rtorrent console.
