You need to install curl program, i guess. Web-server and rtorrent user need to has path to it in PATH variable. Or you may to specify path to curl in config.php.

Are you talking about in the RSS.php file? Or where exactly do I specify the path to curl? rssconf.php?

See above - may be i say "rss.php"? Or "rssconf.php"? No, i say - "config.php". You can't find file config.php, or something else?

The main config file in rutorrent line18:

$pathToCurl = ''; // Something like /bin/curl. If empty, will be founded in PATH. <<<<need to add path here grin.gif grin.gif grin.gif

Hi guys,

I'm expecting the same pb, and I have half-solved it.

The errors:

RSS plugin: Web server user can't access curl program. You will not be able to work with https feeds.
RSS plugin: rTorrent's user can't access curl program. You will not be able to work with https feeds.

I put the curl path in conf/config.php

Code:
$pathToExternals = array(
"curl" => '/usr/include/curl', // Something like /usr/bin/curl. If empty, will be founded in PATH.
So now the "Web server" error message is gone, but I still have the error for rtorrent program. How can I specify the CURL path to rtorrent? That's the question...

Thanks,

/usr/include/curl is a directory

you want to put the path to the curl binary which can be found by issuing the command which curl

Thanks but I got nothing.

# which curl
#

And :

# locate curl
...
/usr/bin/curl
...

So I put /usr/bin/curl but I have the same problem. curl path for rtorrent program is missing.

Hi there,

It has been more than a year and half and I still can't get working the RSS...

I have updated to rutorrent 3.4, but same problem...

- I can add a RSS feed (but it's empty) and when I click on "refresh feed" the feed is going away. And I got as a notice "This feed doesn't exist".
- When I refresh the page, the feed name is back but still no feed shown (0), when I try to refresh it manually it's keep going away with the same notice.

lol ? You really think I'm going to send my account details to an unknown person? ..... You don't know the value of a hdbits account, even to my mom I won't borrow it.

I don't think the problem is from the website, because their RSS feed works with other users and rutorrent.

It's a server problem related I guess, So I need some clues.

Strange. In that case - for which reason you use soft, created by "unknown person"? Anyway, try to use point 2 from my previous post. Bye.

I didn't know that helping someone resume to get access to his account and doing all without him.

Forum is here to give some discussions, clues, and help.

Strange for an admin. to give this kind of advice.

To be fair mate this is the lead dev of ruTorrent, if he really wanted to screw people over his code would be backdoored to high heaven. If you cannot trust him with temporary credentials for a website then you have no business running his code on your box.

If I had the possibility to make temp. access I would. But on HDBITS you can't.

And when you are a responsible user: you don't communicate any of your login/pass either by email or to any one as they are strictly confidential. that's it.
It's the golden rule on internet.

Change your password for a short while, seems daft you don't trust him with temp access but you'll happily run his code which could, if the developer wanted; steal your logins, passkeys and cookies anyway?
Anyway, your call
