Yeah it is running as my user but it I am su'ed over from one of my screens as root.

It's set to a single port 46318 EDIT: I corrected the port range setting to be 46318-46318 and now it starts up fine, is it ok to leave it running like this in one of my root's screens? Is there a way to let it run in the background?
