Hi all. Im quite a long term user of RuTorrent, made the switch from wTorrent some time ago and not looked back.

Now, I have 2 boxes, one being Ubuntu and running RuTorrent, the other being a local server here running Gentoo. What Id like is to have my Gentoo box check the SFTP server of the RuTorrent box and if anything is new auto download it, say once in a 24 hour period. Ive been looking at different bash scripts but these seem really tailored towards backung up databases.zip etc. I think I need something quite abit more dynamic, and Im sure many folk have already acheived just that.

So, looking for advise.

Many thanks

Though its bloody slow!! 595.60kB/s

Was hoping for something faster, but I guess its not multi-threaded.

It uses ssh and these secured connections tend to go slower, since additional data manipulation is done (encrypting / decrypting data) also it uses more cpu.

I would mount a network drive and rsyncing locally, on the box.
