Bad response from server: 504

[04.08.2011 17:04:48] Bad response from server: (504 [error,getplugins]) <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head><title>504 Gateway Timeout</title></head> <body><h1>504 Gateway Timeout</h1></body></html>

I haven't changed my config, yet am getting the above in rutorrent. What is going on, what is the meaning of 504 error? How can I diagnose the issue?

Do you mean it's better if I post in a different subforum?

I'm using Ubuntu Server LTS, with Cherokee.

I updated from svn as I do always.

I've confirmed PHP working with <?php phpinfo(); ?>.

In cherokee error logs I have get the following:
