Can't add torrent from file

I can't add torrents from a file, when I do I get box popping up in the bottom right corner saying ...Failed to add torrent. I can add torrents by putting them in the watch folder or from a rss feed but not directly.

I am guessing this must be some sort of permissions issue but I can't work it out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check your php.ini for upload size limit.

I am having exactly the same issue. I'm using rtorrent 0.9.3, xmlrpc-c rev 2553 & rutorrent 3.6. My php.ini file size is 2M, I'm uploading 68KB. There's nothing in rutorrent's error logs.
