I tried building rutorrent and rtorrent on my own on debian. But when I did the command "apache2ctl configtest", I received an error saying Document Root (/var/rutorrent/) does not exist. Rutorrent is located in var/www so when I moved the rutorrent folder to /var directory, I got no error but got http 404 error when trying to access the webui.

Hi,
I just upgraded my server from xubuntu 10.10 64bit to 12.04 lts 64bit and now I cant install rutorrent and rtorrent.
I am currently getting a
Quote
Bad response from server: (500 [error, list])

.
Screen wont run rtorrent without using sudo now.
I can create a .htpasswd file and create a user and password, however it doesn't request a username and password when I goto the server address.
I'm seriously thinking about going back to xubuntu 10.04 lts 64bit despite 12.04 being the next LTS and therefore better!

A friend originally installed and setup my rtorrent/rutorrent on 10.10 but I then setup a test server on 10.04 at work and got it working with rutorrent 3.4.
I originally wanted to upgrade to 12.04 to cleanup old mess from 3 years of builtup crap and testing but .......

Please help.
Is there a working install script for 12.04?
does anyone have any help?
