Hello,

so firstly I want to say thank you for everyone who reads this. I have a VPS with Rapidleech and RuTorrent running on Debian 6 (x64 bit). I want to my download RuTorrent directory to be accessible by Rapidleech. So far I installed RuTorrent and haven't yet configured Rapidleech.

So does't anyone know the exact path for the RuTorrent directory?

I hope this question was clear and please forgive me for any errors.

Hello,

okay so I found the path for downloads.
Code:
/home/downloads/rtor
Is there a way to modify the download location to my rapidleech files location.
Code:
/var/www/files

Thanks in advance for the help.

I can't understand your posting. ruTorrent hasn't any type of "download directory", this is a web front-end.
What do you really want?

Hello,

the files are downloaded somewhere right? I simply want to change the directory to a location where my Rapidleech can access the files.

you would want to change your location in your rtorrent settings (rtorrent.rc) to point to the directory where you wish to place your files. you should have a user account set up in your name running an rtorrent instance paired with an rutorrent front end installation with matching scgi ports. rutorrent doesn't care where you place the files as its only a front end for the real client, rtorrent. point rtorrent where you want them to go, and rutorrent will follow. also, make sure if you use another folder other than /home/user that you chown the new folder for the user running rtorrent.

Hello,

No quite sure what this means. I guess my VPS provider creates a general username "rtor" and then it gives me instructions on how to chance the password. Which I have done.

I edited the file and pointed it to my RL files... So I think it worked. I will log out and see if it retains the setting or if I have to chance it every time.

My only issue is that the torrent get downloaded and put into a separate folder and my RL doesn't show folders. So, my temporary solution to that is to use FTP and move the files that are in download directory to the RL/files location so that they appear and I can unrar and upload to file hosts.

Thanks for the help.
