Hi all,

As the max default bandwidth (both up and down) in my ruTorrent is 102400 ko/s (that would be 102400 KBps or 100MBPS for American standards), I changed it to "0" (I should be able to get as far as 125MBPS in burst mod). Unfortunatly it always gets back to "102400" a few hours after the change has been made and that really gets on my nerves. Is there a way to prevent it from happening ?

Read this - http://code.google.com/p/rutorrent/wiki/PluginThrottle

"Very_big_number" = 100 megabytes per second. Megabytes, not megabits. I think, your server can't reach such value.

Remove plugin throttle.
I often see the server go to 50 to 70 megabytes per sec, and the maximum achievable limit should be around 125 megabyte per sec.

As for the plugin, I'll check it.

Or you may change very_big_number to another value. For example, set in rtorrent.rc upload and download rate to 200M instead zero.

a 1Gb/s server can reach around 70 MB/s in a burst sometimes. It's normally about 50 MB/s on average unless you have a nice disk array and/or ssd's
