is it possible to move the rutorrent folder from one machine to another and have rutorrent running from the other machine?

reason is that I have an Asus RT-N16 router with TomatoUSB firmware.
That firmware can run rtorrent+Rutorrent via optware function but it is only version 3.1 and don't have all the plugins I want to use.

I tried updating it via SVN but theres a bug in SVN version offered on the routers firmware.

So now my thought is that I'll update the rutorrent via svn i have on my ubuntu server and then copy the rutorrent folder to the rutorrent folder on my router.

Will it work?

it sort of worked. v3.2 loads perfect and so does almost all of the plug-ins.

but I have problems with the throttle and ratio plug-in
logger says they can't start for an unknown reason

I don't need throttle so I just deleted it
but I do need the ratio plugin so if someone have an idea of why it won't start let me know

1) Use SVN version of ruTorrent. It has a lot of fixes.
2) See file /tmp/errors.log for details. If it exist, then paste it contents here.

The SVN command is not working on the routers frimware - there's a confirmed bug in it and it's not fixed it yet... have been there for about a year so I'm not expecting it to be fixed anytime soon.

I'm running the latest SVN on my ubuntu machine and have moved the folders from that to the router and thats where the errors came.

I'll post the error.log when I get home

This means - you *already* use SVN version.

I guess, you doesn't forget to restart rTorrent after ruTorrent upgrade.

I reinstalled the firmware on my router along with rtorrent and rutorrent - rebooting everytime I made a change. I still get errors after I copied the rutorrent I have on my ubuntu server to my router.

Here are the errors from Logger
error.jpg

and I've added the errors.log file

the "undefine" error is browser related normally

the other error is due to you missing "id"

1) "undefined" is mean: your browser use old version of js files from cache or you installation is incorrect. Clear browser cache or press Ctrl-F5.
2) I see your errors.log. Your firmware is bad. In it php function number_format works by incorrect way. E.q. call number_format(67108863,0,'.','') returns "7-11//,3". Try to use normal firmware.

1) I tried to clear the cache but it's didn't remove the undefined error.
you say it could be an incorrect install - of what? rutorrent? because it sounds plausible as I've just copied the files from my ubuntu machine.

2) what do you mean by normal firmware? I've installed this firmware (TomatoUSB) because it gives me the possibility to run rtorrent+rutorrent directly on the router. Do you know any other router firmware I could use instead?
Maybe it's possible to update the php so it'll work as it should

This error means: you have a old version of string resources of ruTorrent for your language. Try to switch to english - may be this will help.

For example, see

I've tried to play around a bit a got everything to work except for the ratio plugin so I'll try with another firmware.

I looked at the wl500g you linked to but I couldn't figure out how to install and use it so now i'll try with the DD-WRT firmware I've been using before.
I'll return with my findings smiley.gif

This mean - your configuration is incorrect. Try to read projects wiki. Or/And provide more info. Web-server version, it's config, ruTorrent config, rTorrent .rc etc. I'm not telepat.
