New Torrents doesnt show up in ruTorrent

Hi Everybody.

I got a little problem with ruTorrent.
I installed rtorrent + rutorrent + lighttpd with the installscript from "brock".
Everything worked fine, got no errors during installation.
After install was finished i tried to add a torrent and it worked like a charm.
The Torrent shows up in the session folder and is downloading and seeding normaly, but when i try
to add a new torrent, the torrent doesnt shows up neither in the session folder or in ru torrent.
When i delete the first torrent i added and add it again its shows up in rutorrent and the session folder.
I tried lots of different torrents, but they all dont appear in rutorrent.
The torrents are in the rutorrent folder and uploaded correctly.
Im using Debian 4.

PS:
The weird thing is, that yesterday it worked to add 2 torrents but after a while i wasnt able to add new torrents

Maybe someone can help me and sorry for my bad english im from Germany

I tried torrents adding to the watch folder and it works without a problem, so my question is, is it possible that the add torrent puts the torrents in the watch folder?
or will there be a problem if i change the watch folder?

"Adding a torrent" doesn't say much since you could add a torrent in many different ways. Explain in detail what you do, step by step.

Oh ok Sorry.
I mean Adding a Torrent from Local Disk in the Adding Torrent Dialog.

I Click Add Torrent and then choose a torrent File from Disk and click
Add File and then nothing happens, the Torrent doesnt appear
but it says torrent was successfully passed to rTorrent.

But when i Upload a Torrent to the watch Folder that is set in
the .rtorrent.rc via FTP, then the Torrent starts without a problem.

Hope this Explains it a little better.

Check your lighttpd error log. Should be somewhere below /usr/local/lighttpd

Hmm good idea, it says "no user/password was provided for basic authentication", but i dont know how to fix this.
Maybe you got an idea

It's working here. I just installed it.

This is what I did:

1. Click "Add Torrent" button
2. Click Browse and pick the torrent file
3. Click Add File button.
4. ruTorrent log says "torrent was successfully passed to rTorrent"
5. A second later it was visible in ruTorrent.

Try to clear your browser's cache and restart your browser. Or try a different browser.

Doesn't work here.
Firefox doesnt work, IE doesnt work, Opera doesnt work.
It only works when i upload torrents to the watch folder.
Its not a big problem because it works with the watch folder
but its weird.

You could always try to re-install everything. Use the same web server (lighttpd).

it sounds like you screwed up your rutorrent settings and/or your lighttpd settings.

you should try a fresh svn copy of rutorrent.


Show your .rtorrent.rc and your rutorrent/conf/config.php (or rutorrent/conf/users/$USERNAME/config.php )
