Hello. I am brand new to Rutorrent and seedboxes. I just set up a remote seedbox, and I'm finishing FTP'ing thousands of directories and files. It has taken days...

I had some problems along the way, and although I got by them, it is most likely that I may have numerous torrent files without their associated ACTUAL files.

I noticed that when I move the torrents to the watch folder, that if the files are not already on the seedbox, that they immediately start downloading and destroy any good ratio I have. I know how to individually stop them by right clicking and selecting stop, but it's like trying to stop a herd of wild horses! I can't move fast enough!

Do you have a recommendation of how I may add new torrents, in BULK, when I wish to have control over which ones do not yet have uploaded files?

Thank you very much for your help!

The web ui should allow you to add up to 20 torrents at once through the browser option. Set to don't start automatically and the force a rehash.

Is there any way to do this by modifying the .rctorrent.rc file configuration to indicate "LOAD" rather than "LOAD-START"? Or any other way?

I have so many files that just doing 20 at a time seems cumbersome.

Thanks very much for your help!

someone created a multiple .zip torrents plugin. check the forum posts (plugin development maybe) that might be useful in your case.

All that's needed is on the "commontasks" wiki page, including mass-starting via a multicall (though i guess you can ctrl-a select + start in rutorrent).
