I'm using brocks auto set up, I used to use apache and when I got the error,
Bad link to rTorrent. Check if it is really running. Check $scgi_port and $scgi_host settings in config.php and scgi_port in rTorrent configuration file.

I would go change the config.php scgi_port to "localhost" and it would fix it for the time behing, then it would start up again. Then I switched to Lighttpd as a webserver (found it was much faster) but I get the error and changing it to local host only fixes it so long...

Can anyone help me with this? If you tell me to change the rtorrent config file please tell me the directory it would be in, or any other fix that may help? Thanks!

seeing your lighttpd config (typically /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf) and your config.php would help.
.rtorrent.rc is nearly always in your /home/<user> folder.
