Hi,

If i restart rt with some torrents seeding which have been added from a rss feed, those torrents are gone.
Torrents which have the .torrent files in a watch directory will resume. Is there a way to make the rss plugin download the .torrent file so
the seeding torrents will be resumed or do i have an error in my configuration?

Thanks in advance.

add this to your .rtorrent.rc:

session = ~/.session

then create that adir for the rtrorent user

Thank you. This helped.
Sorry it took me so long to answer.

I had the session dir set up but a typo in the dir name. But it is hard to track down whats going wrong when you don t know how it is supposed to work.

yah, the thing you need to understand about rtorrent is that it is designed to be used from the command line. when you add a torrent to rtorrent, it's normally done manually. The .session driectory basically holds torrents that are running and if rtorrent stops, will reload them all. Without a .session dir set, it will still work but nothing will survive shut down.
