I have a synology nas which I have bootstrapped and installed rtorrent on. When i start rtorrent its not setup as the way it should be.

Therefore I have edited the /.rtorrent.rc-file, but rtorrent does still not work :/ e.g. I use a different port, but I don't know why it does not accept it. After changing the file, I also restarted rtorrent.

Eg it does not look at the watched dir, which I have told it to. When I try to load up an torrent, I can only see:

rtorrent.dht_cache
rtorrent.lock

When I start rtorrent i get an errormsg:

(14:17:21) Scheduled command failed: ratio: Command "stop_on_ratio" does not exist.
[Throttle 80/ 80 KB] [Rate 0.0/ 0.0 KB] [Port: 51780]

It should be said, that I'm a real noob when it comes to linux, so there a most likely a lot of things I could be doing wrong.

I have been trying to get rtorrent working for several weeks cheesy.gif hope it won't get the best of me.

enters ssh to sudo nano ~ /. rtorrent.rc and verifies that lack a "#" in this part:

# stop torrents when reaching upload ratio in percent,
# when also reaching total upload in bytes, or when
# reaching final upload ratio in percent
# example: stop at ratio 2.0 with at least 200 MB uploaded, or else ratio 20.0
# schedule = ratio,60,60,stop_on_ratio=200,200M,2000
