rutorrent wont load

Hi,

I'm a big noob with linux,rutorrent doesnt load,happend suddenly while I was trying to add a torrent.I searched forum abt this but cant understand solution.I use VPS with root access.My OS is Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit.Installed rutorrent with simple script,I dont even know how to install entire thing.

Error mssg-

rtorrent is running coz I can see I'm seeding on trackers but webui isnt visible.I ran script again but story is same sad.gif

I just dont want any files to be deleted so I'm not reinstalling OS.Hope you can find some solution for me.

try deleting the uisettings.json in your rutorrent/share/USERNAME/settings or rutorrent/share/settings/ directory
Thanks but I dont know where is that folder,is there any command to access der,when i login to user with ftp I can only see rtorrent with watch and session folder

Fantastic !!!!! It worked...Thanks a lot ! you saved my time,have been trying since 8 hrs for that,now shal i change any settings or just keep using like that

That's a fluke. I've seen it happen a handful of times and only remember seeing it pop up a couple times in the forums, i think it happens when the data is corrupted.

I do not believe you will have to deal with it again, but if it DOES keep happening, then you have some other issue

k It happened again,and I did same thing,its like virus in rutorrent

I dont know how to see log file,right now every thing is okay,rutorrent runs well but occasionally that problm cming,mainly when i try to delete big files directly through webui

I had this problem as well, it showed up completely randomly one day.

As soon as I deleted uisettings.json from /var/www/rutorrent/share/users/USERNAME/settings and it worked instantly.

No idea what caused this, but I'm glad to have stumbled upon this thread.

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04.1, with Apache (set up using Subsy's guide).

Very weird!
