Scheduler Help

Hi there,

This is my first post here!. Greeting to you all from Australia.

I am new to rtorrent and rutorrent and I am having dificulty setting up the scheduler function. I am currently running rtorrent++ 0.8.6 b0301 r1106 (O2 Epoll) on my NAS installed via QPKG and rutorrent v2.8.

I am trying to schedule downloads between 03:00 and 09:00 (Off peak from ISP) with uploads 24/7.

I have tried creating rules in rtorrent++ config builder

schedule = throttle_1,03:00:00,24:00:00,download_rate=300
schedule = throttle_2,09:00:00,24:00:00,download_rate=1

That does not work

I have also enabled the scheduler within rutorrent and set the following

Limit 1 - 24/7 except between 03:00 and 09:00

Upload - 100 KBits/s
Download - 1 KBits/s

Limit 2 - 03:00 - 09:00

Upload - 100 KBits/s
Download - 300 KBits/s

I have tried numerous other ways and all don't seem to work. It is frustrating and I am soon going to be throttled by my ISP for the rest of my billing month

1) First of all - version 2.8 doesnt supported more. Try upgrade to 3.0.
2) What do you mean under words "That does not work"? Where you check this? What do you see in rtorrent console after 9:00?
3) Is time setted correctly on your server?

1) Installed svn via IPKG last night on my NAS (QNAP TS-119), so will upgrade to 3.0 tonight
2) I logged into rutorrent this morning at 08:05 and was downloading at 1 Kbit/s. I want to be able to download at 300 Kbit/s untill 09:00. I thought that is what my throttle rules are set to?

I think you have just fixed my problem. Thanks for pointing out the obvious!! LOL.

Lesson learn't. CHECK THE OBVIOUS 1st.
