Hi,
I've been a member with working rss feeds at broadcasthe.net for about 1 year, but they suddenly stopped working a week ago, with the error "Error loading torrent" in the log.
I use rTorrent/libtorrent 0.8.9/0.12.9 - ruTorrent was version 3.5 but since the problem started I updated and am now on 3.6 (svn $Rev. 2404 $) - this is on a Ubuntu 12.04 server. All other feeds still work fine.
To troubleshoot, I tried to remove and re-add the feed as I had noticed the authkey had changed - unfortunately the rss feeds now generated from the site are now https, whereas previously they were http. ruTorrent won't even let me add rss feeds that are https - I get "Error loading feed" in the log window, and the feed isn't created.
I can create the same feed but change the address to http instead of https - the feed loads but the torrents don't download - I presume because they are https links and not http.
I've tried using the rules manager to change the https > http, but while it works in the debug, the URL info still shows https :/
I created a thread on BTN and one of the devs says he can "sort of" replicate the problem and is looking into it from his side too: https://broadcasthe.net/forums.php?action=viewthread&threadid=15654
I guess I would like to know if the rss downloader plugin should/does work with https feeds/links? And if I'm doing something wrong in the rules manager to change from https > http (as it works in the debug)? Or if anyone can help in any other way?
Thanks - if I can give any more information please let me know.
xTx
