it sounds like you screwed up your rutorrent settings and/or your lighttpd settings. you should try a fresh svn copy of rutorrent. Show your .rtorrent.rc and your rutorrent/conf/config.php (or rutorrent/conf/users/$USERNAME/config.php )

You could always try to re-install everything. Use the same web server (lighttpd).
