    Torrent doesn't seed

Yep, I skip a line after every announce URL. I don't know about the client OS, as I just ordered the seedbox, as for the browser I've tried both Firefox & Google Chrome.

    Torrent doesn't seed

First off - thanks for all the answers! Quote 1 : witch program in plugin create do you use? If you don't change it in conf of plugin try mktorrent. As I said in the pm, I've got no clue lol ;P All I know is I'm operating on the RuTorrent on my seedbox. The seedbox owner just told me that the...

    Torrent doesn't seed

Hey! A couple of days ago I got a seedbox that's running on Rutorrent. Uploading the file on ftp & creating a torrent out of it through the webui seems to be working well. Seeding is another story however. I've created a couple of torrents. None of them I can download myself. It just says 0...

    Bad response - getplugins error

I don't know if this helps or not but when I get this error "Bad response from server: (0 [error, getplugins])" I have to open up putty/ssh and login in then type "screen rtorrent" (without the quotes) That seems to fix the problem for some reason. I do notice however I tend to have this...

How to set default ratio in rtorrent.rc (130%) for all torrents

This an rtorrent configuration setting, not rutorrent. Sounds like you need to go here: http://libtorrent.rakshasa.no/wiki/RTorrentRatioHandling

    Dont save upload/download limits?

This is by design. If you have limits you want to set, set them in .rtorrent.rc if you don't have ACCESS to .rtorrent.rc, then whoever set up your server probably didn't realize they should block you from changing settings to begin with.

    help optimising rutorrent

My problems are the slow speed and the use of ram: This is my .rtorrent.rc Code: scgi_port = 127.0.0.1:5000 # Maximum and minimum number of peers to connect to per torrent. #min_peers = 40 #max_peers = 100 # Same as above but for seeding completed torrents (-1 = same as downloading)...

    bad response

it sounds like your scgi link may be locking up. does it work for a time, then stop working and wont' work again until you restart rtorrent?

    bad response

One question, Was that the whole error? It suggests that rutorrent communication with rtorrent temporarily "disconnected"

    help optimising rutorrent

rTorrent and ruTorrent work properly on my seedbox Now I need to optimise the configuration in order to get the max results. My box is a semidedicated server (a server divided into 4 VPS) Every VPS has; Intel Xeon (1 x 2.8 GHz) 2GB DDR3 RAM 1 x 500GB SATA2 Hard Disk 1Gbit Connection Unmetered...

    Apache Asking for HTPassword Twice

Awesome! Thanks for the help everyone. It's working great now, and I know a bit more about what's going on in the back-end.

    Apache Asking for HTPassword Twice

That's a good idea. Before I do this, I have a question concerning the ruTorrent config.php. I have both these lines: Code: $scgi_port = 5001; $scgi_host = "127.0.0.1"; ..and this line: Code: $XMLRPCMountPoint = "/RPC2"; I thought the point of the XMLRPCMountPoint line was to use Apache's...

    Apache Asking for HTPassword Twice

Same thing. It asks for the rutorrent password first, since that's the URL I'm hitting, and once I'm in it asks for the RPC2 password, since that's what rutorrent communicates through.

    Apache Asking for HTPassword Twice

I have both my ruTorrent site (.../rutorrent/) and SCGIMount (.../RPC2) secured in Apache with HTPassword: Code: SCGIMount /RPC2 127.0.0.1:5001 <Location /RPC2> AuthType Basic AuthName "rTorrent secure access" AuthBasicProvider file...

Passed to rtorrent - but it wasn't?

same problem here with a privat-tracker. Most of the files of this tracker are working fine but sometimes they fail. The .torrent files are correctly uploaded to the webserver (they appear in the dir "share/users/$username/torrent/" ). Trying to add them via watchdir did not solve the problem...

    torrent size limit

How big is your torrent file? Does your watch dir work with smaller torrents? Upload the torrent somewhere, or show a link to a big public torrent that's not loading from your watch dir. If the torrent isn't loaded from your watch dir, then it's probably corrupted. Check your rtorrent log...
