do what you want but if it doesn't work with the multi-user framework already laid out in rutorrent's other plugins it won't fill the bounty. That's an absolute must, otherwise we could just use something like extplorer and call it a day.

Well this is a turning point, you guys (the contributors should decide) how is this gonna be done.
  • ignore the security hole and use it for all file operations and take some risks
  • use mod_suexec (btw a lighthttpd has one) for all file operations and eventually patch this hole, by not using SCGI
I'm waiting for a final decision concerning this matter.

PS. Multi-user suport is easy to implement, no worry about that.

Well for me security is very important & also it should work on more webservers then only apache & lighthttp
And I would like it the way Novik is proposing to do it ( as I know he knows how to make a plugin like this .. as he is the author of the Xirvik Explorer plugin)

i personally don't care what you do, but it should be done in a way that works with all web browsers. If it forces the use of something like lighttpd or apache it won't be something i would use.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't write the plugin, but i don't see how it could be eligible for the bounty if it can't be used like a typical plugin. (which doesn't force you to use any webserver)

Well, the download link generator AKA Share Manager isn't gonna be implemented with the File Manager, consider it as a different plugin.
The DivX Web Player is going to be implemented (sounds nice).

Some considerations:
-it will NEVER run on windows (except with major efforts)
-js code is a bit rigid but it does it job

when is the plugin going to be available for testing?

looks pretty nice butit's hard to judge from just screenshots

um, why not just post it so we can try it?

if it's a question of hosting mediafire will work...or if you need an svn repo i can probably provide one.

I have tested it and everything seems to be fine. All features are there and work fully. Only have problem with language (lang file seems not be update) and divx player wich bug with FF/Chrome or simply doesn't work because of basic auth.

Send me french lang updated as i can begin translation.

Please make this available for us to look for bugs and test it under load. This is how the bounty system WORKS.

He's not letting people test it in any meaningful way. Providing a link to YOUR server isn't what we need.

I think some people are confused to how the bounty system works. It's a good faith system where you write the plugin and provide it to the community and then the people who pledged the bounty test it, and pay it.

Yep , you need to trust the people .. as we will pay after we have tested on our own machines how this works & if we need anything changed
